Where is Meyerhof located?
Meyerhof is nestled in leafy Plumstead, Cape Town – just 1.8 km (5 minutes) from Mediclinic Constantiaberg and 12kms to the centre of Cape Town. The Constantia wine route and other popular tourist attractions are only a few km’s away.
What time is check-in and check-out?
In from 2pm and out by 10am.
Do the apartments have fireplaces?
Yes. All apartments feature indoor fireplaces, which area perfect for winter comfort.
Are braai (BBQ) facilities available?
Yes. Each apartment offers access to a private or shared braai area, ask if which are equipped with braai utensils.
Is Meyerhof pet-friendly?
Unfortunately, pets are not allowed.
Is parking available?
Yes. We offer free secure parking for all guests.
Is Meyerhof LGBTQ+ friendly?
Yes. We welcome guests from all walks of life. Meyerhof is proudly LGBTQ+ inclusive.
How often are the apartments serviced?
Staff empty refuse bins, etc every 2nd day. Towels and shower mats are changed every 3 to 4 days. Linen is changed every 5 to 7 days.
Is it true that Meyerhof boasts over 500 Bougainvillea plants?
It is indeed true. The gardens at Meyerhof are our pride and joy. We also have a cannon at our front door which was used in the 1812 Muizenberg War. And our Court Yard boasts the original well from 1795. Yes, the well is functional.
Are guests welcome to have visits from friends or family?
Yes. But it is imperative to engage Roy with respect to the details (time, number of visitors, etc).
Is it true that there is a guitar in every apartment?
It is indeed true.
What accommodation do you offer?
We offer eight fully equipped self-catering apartments. The Serenity Suite is our romantic apartment with a private splash pool. Each apartment is uniquely styled for comfort and relaxation.
Do you offer late check-in?
Yes. 7pm by prior arrangement.
Do you have a swimming pool?
Yes. We have 2 communal pools for all guests and a private splash pool reserved exclusively for the Serenity Suite guests.
Do you offer short and long stays?
Yes. Although we mostly do short stays, you are welcome to speak to us about longer stays.
Do you allow group bookings for bachelorette parties, or similiar?
Regrettably not, as we offer our guests a quiet and restful stay.
Is Wi-Fi available?
Yes. Complimentary Wi-Fi is available across the property.
Do you offer laundry service?
Yes. By prior arrangement, at an additional cost.
Is Meyerhof located in a safe area?
Yes. Happily go for a walk or a run. But, as in all major cities, common sense regarding safety is important after dark.
Are taxis readily available in Cape Town?
Yes. E-hailing (Uber in particular), is widely used.
Is smoking permitted in the apartments?
No. But smoking is allowed anywhere outdoors at Meyerhof. Ashtrays are provided. Please make use of them.
